Community Guidelines

1
Be nice.
2
Help others when you can.

That's the whole community guidelines. No 20-page code of conduct. No hierarchy. Just don't be a jerk and lift people up when you can.

What "be nice" means

What "help others" means

What happens if rules are broken

We're not a big corporation with layers of bureaucracy. If someone breaks the rules, here's what happens:

  1. First time: A friendly reminder from a moderator.
  2. Second time: A formal warning and a temporary mute.
  3. Third time: Permanent ban from the community.

For serious violations (threats, hate speech, illegal content), we may skip straight to a ban. Our decisions are at our discretion and are not subject to negotiation. If you believe a ban was issued in error, you may appeal by emailing legal@marginworks.io within 14 days.

How to report a problem

If someone is being a jerk, or if you see something that breaks these rules, email us at legal@marginworks.io. We'll look into it and take action if needed. Reports are confidential.

These guidelines are simple on purpose. If we need to add more rules as we grow, we will. But the core stays the same: be nice, and help others.
